I. Farmland infrastructure construction
Irrigation system construction and maintenance
Digging irrigation ditches: In farmland irrigation projects, small excavators can be used to dig irrigation ditches. It can accurately excavate ditches of
appropriate depth and width according to the topography of the farmland and irrigation needs, ensuring that the irrigation water can be evenly
distributed to all corners of the farmland. For example, in terraced fields in mountainous areas, the small excavator can easily dig ditches connecting
irrigation water sources between terraces to improve irrigation efficiency.
Constructing the foundation of irrigation facilities: For some farmlands where irrigation facilities such as irrigation pumping stations and sluice gates
need to be constructed, the small excavator can assist in foundation excavation. It can quickly clean up the construction site, excavate foundation pits
suitable for facility installation, and can ensure that the depth and size of the foundation meet the requirements, providing a good foundation for the
stable operation of irrigation facilities.
Ditch desilting: With the passage of time, sediment and other impurities will accumulate in irrigation ditches, affecting the irrigation effect. Small
excavators can carry out regular desilting operations on ditches. It can extend the digging bucket into the bottom of the ditch to clean out the silt and
debris and keep the ditch smooth.
Farmland Road Construction and Rehabilitation
Newly built farmland roads: in the countryside, in order to facilitate the entry and exit of agricultural machinery to and from the farmland and the
transport of agricultural products, it is necessary to build farmland roads. Small excavators can dig the road base in the field, digging and levelling the
ground according to the width and height of the road design. In some soft soil areas, the compaction function of the small excavator can also be used
to carry out preliminary compaction of the roadbed, laying a good foundation for subsequent road hardening or paving road materials.
Repairing damaged roads: due to the frequent passage of agricultural machinery and the influence of natural factors, farmland roads may be broken.
The small excavator can repair the damaged road, such as digging out the damaged part of the roadbed, refilling with suitable materials, and levelling
and compaction, to ensure the smoothness of the road, and to ensure the normal conduct of agricultural production.
Second, agricultural production operations
Land remediation and improvement
Deep turning of land: small excavator can be used for deep turning of land, especially in some plots of land where soil is seriously knotted. It can dig
the bucket deep into the soil depth, turn the lower layer of soil to the upper layer, break the soil's plate layer, and increase the permeability and water
retention of the soil. For example, in some farmland where soil fertility has declined due to long-term planting of a single crop, the deep turning
operation of the small excavator can redistribute the nutrients in the soil and improve the soil structure.
Removing weeds and roots: Before ploughing, weeds and roots need to be removed from the field. The small excavator can uproot the weeds and tree
roots through the crusher or bucket on its digging bucket, effectively reducing the competition and impact of weeds on crop growth. At the same time,
removing tree roots can also prevent the crop root system from being hindered in the growth process, improving the yield and quality of crops.
Land levelling: Before sowing seeds or transplanting rice, the land needs to be levelled. The small excavator can push the soil from the high ground to
the low ground through its bulldozing function, so that the whole field surface is levelled. This is very important for the even distribution of irrigation
water and the even growth of crops, especially in some large continuous farmland, the land levelling operation of small excavators can improve the
scale and standardisation of agricultural production.
Fertiliser furrowing and planting
Assisting planting: In some special crop planting, such as planting potatoes, radishes and other root vegetables, small excavators can first dig planting
trenches in the field, then put the seedlings into the trenches, and then mulch and compact them. This way can improve planting efficiency and reduce
farmers' labour intensity. At the same time, when planting some plants that require larger soil pits, such as trees, small excavators can also dig suitable
planting pits to provide good space for plant growth.
III. Construction and Maintenance of Agricultural Production Facilities
Greenhouse construction and renovation
Foundation digging: when building greenhouses, small excavators can be used to dig the foundation of the greenhouse. It can excavate foundation
slots of appropriate depth and width according to the design size and height of the greenhouse, providing stability for the greenhouse. For example,
when building a greenhouse with a brick wall structure, the small excavator digs the foundation slot first, and then the workers can build the wall in the
slot to ensure the stability of the wall.
Greenhouse remodelling: when a greenhouse needs to be remodelled or expanded, a small excavator can also be useful. It can remove old walls or
structures and dig new foundations and channels to facilitate the remodelling of the greenhouse.
